About the Role
The role is a Structural Engineer on the Resources team in Sudbury, where you will help design and deliver new industrial and mining facilities across Ontario and beyond. You will work on major builds, rehabilitation programs and supporting infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists and mentoring emerging designers to grow the provincial practice. • Design structural systems for mining and industrial facilities to enhance safety and reliability • Deliver detailed engineering packages from concept through stamped IFC deliverables • Coordinate design requirements with mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams • Conduct structural assessments and site investigations for retrofits, remediation, or rehabilitation • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction specifications for regulatory compliance • Provide design leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers • Engage directly with clients through site meetings and collaborative problem‑solving • Support cost‑efficient, technically robust solutions aligned with WSP’s innovation standards

What You Bring
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in Ontario with heavy‑industrial mining experience • Minimum 6 years designing concrete and steel structures for Canadian industrial facilities, especially in Sudbury • Proficiency applying Canadian codes and standards to ensure safe, resilient designs • Experience using structural analysis software such as S‑Frame, STAAD.Pro or SAP2000 • Ability to perform field reviews, site investigations, and condition assessments in active industrial settings • Strong collaborative mindset in multidisciplinary teams and a drive for innovation and continuous learning
