Job Highlights
About the Role
The Enterprise Value Director (EVD) programs and manages the development of large, complex, bundled offerings for multimillion-dollar projects that may span multiple locations and use alternate delivery models with guaranteed outcomes. These offerings are built around a variety of structures, including Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships (P3), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Energy Savings Agreements (ESA), Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC). Working closely with the Business Development Director, the EVD coordinates the entire Johnson Controls value proposition. This involves translating enterprise-level customer objectives into executable programs and contract structures, overseeing technical program development, and managing a diverse team of engineers, service operators, consortium partners, external design consultants, strategic vendors, and subcontractors. The EVD aligns project scope with delivery, construction, transition, and service teams, establishing comprehensive development plans that include major milestones, dependencies, and budgetary targets. Responsibilities also include preparing cost estimates for senior-leadership approval, ensuring budget compliance, controlling scope changes, developing key performance indicators, and managing risk alignment across design, operations, and contract structures. Financial coordination is a critical component, requiring collaboration with structured-finance partners such as JC Capital and IonicBlue, internal P3/IaaS modelers, legal, and sales teams to ensure the offering matches the appropriate contract framework and complies with Johnson Controls governance. The EVD also promotes the company’s value proposition at the executive level, acts as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, provides regular updates, and simultaneously manages multiple projects. • Lead development of multimillion-dollar, multi-location bundled offerings across delivery models (Design-Build, P3, IaaS, ESA, PPA, ESPC). • Define customer objectives and translate them into executable programs and contract structures. • Manage cross-functional development teams, including engineering, service operations, consortium partners, external consultants, and vendors. • Coordinate project scope with delivery, construction, transition, and service teams; establish milestones and dependencies. • Prepare and control development cost estimates, budgets, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop key performance indicators and ensure alignment of design, operations, and contract risks. • Oversee financial modeling and collaborate with structured-finance partners and internal modelers. • Partner with legal and sales to align offerings with contract terms and Johnson Controls governance. • Present Johnson Controls value proposition to C‑level executives and act as primary stakeholder liaison. • Drive customer outcomes such as financial stewardship, energy efficiency, modernization, cost reduction, and risk transfer.
