About the Role

The Safety Training Manager is responsible for delivering training content to all new hire employees, managing and coordinating all training activities, and facilitating programs that educate staff on Republic Services' priorities such as safety and customer expectations. The role also partners with division management to provide ongoing training for field trainers and analyzes results to drive continuous program improvements. Key duties include training new and existing employees, auditing training results and preparing management reports, supporting HQ safety initiatives, increasing driver proficiency through retraining, and conducting driver evaluations for DOT and state certifications. The manager selects or develops teaching aids, follows all safety policies, may travel up to 50% of the time, and performs other job‑related tasks as assigned. • Deliver and coordinate safety training for new hires, supervisors, managers, and field trainers. • Audit training outcomes, generate reports, and recommend program improvements. • Develop and update training aids such as manuals, multimedia, and presentations. • Conduct driver evaluations and re‑evaluations for DOT and state certifications. • Support headquarters safety initiatives and create content to close performance gaps. • Provide leadership and communication across teams to achieve company goals.

The position offers a salary range of $119,800 to $164,800, complemented by an annual incentive target of 20%.
