About the Role
A Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck and provides prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver ensures the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards, adheres to all company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. The driver performs complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reports any safety issues. While on route, the driver follows the route sheet and map, operates the truck’s manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at the designated facility, and interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers. Unsatisfactory waste containers are identified and tagged according to procedures, and any accidental spills are cleaned following safety standards. The driver continuously monitors vehicle condition, cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip, and completes required route, productivity, and VCR reports while meeting departmental productivity standards.

What You Bring
All required safety policies and the ReSOP program are followed, and the driver participates in other job‑related duties as assigned. Strong customer‑service skills, time‑management, follow‑through, adherence to policies, and pride in work are expected. Applicants must hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. This DOT‑position offers an hourly range of $20.35 to $28.00 (depending on locality), weekly overtime, and competitive benefits.
