About the Role
The position will support a large hospital project in Mumbai. It involves managing the implementation and effectiveness of design‑management systems to meet business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements, acting as an enabler for change and delivering distinctive value to clients. The role oversees all phases of design management, coordinating with construction, commercial, programme, and procurement teams. Mace’s values guide how the consultancy works. As an advocate of ‘Safety first’, you will lead and maintain high standards of safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance for design resources while championing a diverse and inclusive environment. You will guide daily activities of the design team, serve as the primary contact for client design issues, and manage implementation of design‑management processes to meet statutory and contractual obligations, supporting long‑term strategic development for the business unit. What You Bring
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture and have experience on similar projects. Preferred qualifications include membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or an equivalent professional body, extensive experience delivering construction projects and programmes, deep consultancy expertise, and knowledge of building safety legislation, contracts, and health‑and‑safety regulations. Leadership of large, diverse teams, senior stakeholder management, and an understanding of carbon and sustainability considerations are also required. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture. • Possess professional membership (RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or equivalent). • Demonstrate extensive experience delivering construction projects and programmes. • Have deep expertise in construction consultancy, building safety legislation, contracts, and health & safety regulations. • Understand carbon and sustainability considerations in project delivery.
