About the Role
• Take ownership of project delivery, including health & safety, technical quality, schedule and budget • Manage multi‑disciplinary teams • Identify and deliver complementary services across the wider WSP business • Build client relationships to ensure project outcomes and satisfaction • Contribute innovative approaches, new services and digital products • Support the Future Ready and Net Zero programme • Act as an ambassador for best practice within the Asset Design team • Undertake bid preparation, resource planning and budgeting • Line‑manage and develop graduate engineers and degree apprentices • Assist in recruitment and growth of the civil engineering team • Advance technical, managerial and leadership skills throughout your career

What You Bring
In response to rising demand, we are recruiting Senior and Principal Civil Engineers to support the AMP8 water industry capital investment programme. Whether you have water‑sector design experience or come from another engineering field, we provide mentoring and training to help you transition and achieve your career ambitions. • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering • Possess Chartered status or be progressing toward ICE/CIWEM membership • Experience managing engineering design teams across civil and supporting disciplines • Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and schedule constraints • Background in checking or technical approval for linear civil infrastructure or process design • Experience mentoring or coaching junior civil engineers • Strong client‑facing experience • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
