Job Highlights
About the Role
The role involves safely operating a heavy‑duty commercial truck on swing routes, navigating residential, commercial and construction sites. Drivers must adhere to OSHA, DOT and all local, state and federal regulations. • Operate heavy‑duty truck in compliance with OSHA, DOT and all regulatory requirements. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using DVIR and report issues promptly. • Immediately report unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, injuries or property damage to Route Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in required training, briefings and meetings. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow assigned route schedules. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager. • Dump containers cleanly, position them upright, replace lids and ensure they do not block driveways or traffic. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Follow route assignments, check‑in at end of route and submit all required documentation.
