About the Role

The CRC is responsible for the comprehensive coordination, development, and evaluation of programs and services that enhance the resiliency of the assigned unit’s force and families. The role includes organizing and overseeing peer support networks for assigned commands. Coordinators recruit active‑duty and family‑member peer support counselors, ensure they are vetted and trained to USSOCOM CPPNC standards, and collect both original and secondary data for formative and outcome evaluations of peer‑support and community‑based programs. They identify program and service needs, develop needs‑based programming for specific demographic groups and locations, and maintain extensive knowledge of DoD resources such as Military OneSource, MFLC, PFC, and the Military Crisis Line. Coordinators also lead or assist in creating official processes, networking opportunities, and standard operating procedures for subpopulations. Key duties include establishing and reporting on peer counseling networks, conducting family orientation, outreach, pre‑ and post‑deployment preparation, reintegration, family relational enhancement, career transition programs, suicide‑prevention and cognitive‑agility training, and communicating community behavioral‑health resources. The CRC serves as the commander’s liaison for community and family support, uses various media platforms, and stays aware of emergency response protocols. • Establish, maintain, and report on peer counseling networks for service members and family spouses. • Recruit, vet, and train active‑duty and family‑member peer support counselors to USSOCOM CPPNC standards. • Collect, analyze, and report original and secondary data for program evaluations, including focus groups and resilience program results. • Identify service gaps and develop needs‑based programs for specific demographics and geographic locations. • Serve as the commander’s liaison on community and family support matters and communicate via multiple media platforms. • Conduct family orientation, outreach, pre‑ and post‑deployment preparation, reintegration, and family relational enhancement activities. • Coordinate unit‑level career transition programs for military members and spouses. • Implement social/family and psychological programs, including suicide prevention and cognitive‑agility training. • Maintain awareness of DoD and local resources such as Military OneSource, MFLC, PFC, and the Military Crisis Line, and disseminate information to the community. • Develop standard operating procedures and service provision protocols for subpopulations. • Ensure compliance with emergency response protocols and organizational safety, health, and quality standards.

What You Bring

The position requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance, and a bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services or a related field (or four years of relevant experience). A minimum of two years’ experience coordinating social‑service education programs is required, along with willingness to receive specialized training in peer support counseling, community resources, referrals, and suicide prevention. Standard company requirements include compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality‑assurance policies, regular attendance, completion of all required training, and the ability to perform other assignments as needed. • Required qualifications: U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain Secret/Top Secret clearance, bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and at least two years coordinating social‑service education programs. • Willingness to complete specialized training in peer support counseling, community referrals, and suicide prevention, and to stay current on best practices.
