About the Role

• Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities • Perform quantity calculations • Prepare specifications and contract documents • Conduct permitting with Jurisdictional Authorities • Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures • Oversee work of other professionals and technicians as needed • Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule

What You Bring

• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired • Ability to thrive in a team environment • Ability to handle multiple assignments • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D or other applications (Navisworks, InfraWorks, MicroStation and OpenRoads) • Ability to mentor and teach skills to others • Advanced understanding of all discipline relations and site civil design • Strong knowledge of storm modeling software such as Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, StormCAD, SSA, Hecras, or similar software • Local candidates are preferred • Bachelor's degree • Previous experience in general civil engineering • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office • Good verbal and written communication skills
