About the Role
The journeyman electrician plans layouts, installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The role also involves mentoring Apprentice Electricians and upholding FSG’s core values through excellent customer service and a strong safety focus. • Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to ensure concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, or flooring are completed. • Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste, enable future maintenance access, and avoid hazardous or unreliable wiring. • Layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures according to job specifications and local codes. • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit‑breaker panels, busbars, feeders, power systems, and switchgear. • Repair faulty equipment or systems. • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical components. • Advise management on potential hazards of continued equipment operation. • Meet attendance standards and follow late/absence notification procedures. • Maintain a current electrician’s license or identification card to comply with regulations. • Provide positive customer service.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a high‑school diploma or GED, a current electrician’s license (preferred), three to five years of field experience, and a valid driver’s license. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills are required; lighting experience is a plus. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Possess a current electrician’s license (preferred but not required). • Have three to five years of field experience. • Maintain a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrate ability to multitask while staying organized. • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. • Experience in lighting is a plus.

Benefits
This is a traveling journeyman electrician position based out of Cincinnati or surrounding areas. Employees work a 10‑day rotation (2 paid travel days, 8 working days) followed by 4 days off, with hotels paid by FSG and a per‑diem. The base wage is $30‑35 per hour, with occasional prevailing‑wage work up to $75 per hour.
