About the Role
The Project Manager delivers projects across capital water infrastructure including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, water main replacements and more across the Unity Water Program. In addition to managing the delivery phase of the program’s renewals projects, you will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost, commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success. The role involves managing, coordinating and delivering a complex range of projects, fostering a culture of innovation, supporting budget and procurement processes, and building strong relationships with design teams, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal project delivery. • Manage, coordinate and deliver complex water infrastructure projects of varying size and scope. • Foster innovation and mentor team members while upholding Downer’s safety and quality standards. • Support budget management, cost optimisation and accurate forecasting alongside the Senior Project Manager. • Implement procurement processes, including procurement plans, subcontractor engagement and supplier management. • Build and maintain strong relationships with design teams, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal project delivery. • Provide health and wellness initiatives and access to Downer Group benefits. • Supply a company vehicle for work purposes. • Provide a competitive remuneration package within a safety‑focused culture. • Enable the opportunity to work within an ASX‑listed company on long‑term local projects.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds an engineering qualification with extensive civil capital infrastructure experience, a Project Management certification and RPEQ (or willingness to obtain), and demonstrates strong communication, analytical, planning, financial and budgeting skills in a dynamic contracting environment. • Hold an engineering qualification with substantial civil capital infrastructure experience. • Possess Project Management certification and RPEQ (or willingness to obtain). • Demonstrate strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Exhibit proven analytical, planning, prioritisation, financial planning and budgeting abilities. • Show ability to thrive in a dynamic, contracting‑service oriented environment.
