About the Role
The Operational Engineer will lead and support daily engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. Responsibilities include analyzing processes, equipment, and production data to identify improvement opportunities, collaborating with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on continuous‑improvement initiatives, and supporting project planning and execution for upgrades, modifications, and capital improvements. All engineering practices must align with operational, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. • Lead daily operational engineering to ensure safe, efficient plant performance. • Analyze processes and production data to identify improvement opportunities. • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Support project planning and execution for upgrades, modifications, and capital improvements. • Ensure engineering practices meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. • Apply operational/industrial engineering expertise in heavy manufacturing environments. • Solve problems by analyzing data and translating insights into actionable steps. • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. • Operate safely in environments with moving equipment, inclement weather, and high noise levels.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has demonstrated capability in operational or industrial engineering within heavy manufacturing or industrial environments, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to translate data insights into action. Effective collaboration across functional teams and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement are essential, as is proficiency with engineering tools, systems, and technical documentation. Successful candidates must complete a post‑offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and background check; some positions require ongoing FMCSA‑regulated testing. The role operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. • Work effectively across functional teams and operational levels. • Utilize engineering tools, systems, and technical documentation proficiently. • Complete required pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.
