About the Role

The HR & Kronos Test Analyst ensures payroll systems are accurate, compliant, and reliable across Australia and New Zealand in a two‑year fixed‑term role, delivering high‑quality testing for Industrial Instrument Agreement builds, Enterprise Agreement changes, and payroll support activities. Positioned within the People Services team of the Business Services Centre, the analyst develops, executes, and maintains test cases across multiple HR and payroll platforms, partnering with HR, industrial relations, IT, and business stakeholders to support precise payroll outcomes and effective system changes. • Develop, maintain, and execute test cases in qTest for payroll system changes and configurations. • Deliver testing for IIA and Enterprise Agreement builds, system enhancements, and support fixes. • Ensure IR and business requirements are reflected in test coverage. • Execute test scripts, record defects, and manage issue resolution. • Provide test results, completion reports, and evidence for UAT sign‑off. • Produce regular test progress and status reports for stakeholders. • Collaborate with HR, IR, IT, and vendor teams across on‑shore and off‑shore delivery models. • Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for testing practices and service delivery. • Operate in line with organisational safety, quality, and compliance standards.

What You Bring

• Experience testing time‑capture or payroll systems in a large, complex environment. • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, industrial instruments, award interpretation, and system configurations. • Hands‑on experience with Kronos/UKG (Oracle payroll experience advantageous). • Proficiency in test case development, defect management, and QA principles. • Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and validation. • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to engage diverse stakeholders. • High attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to balance competing priorities. • Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical payroll testing experience.
