About the Role

The Electrical Helper IV reports to the Electrical Journeyman and Foreman and is tasked with installing electrical systems according to project specifications. Responsibilities include installing raceway systems, conduit, cable, and small electrical equipment while adhering to NEC standards and the company’s safety protocols. • Install raceway systems to meet production standards • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks • Pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as needed • Install small electrical equipment and supports • Attend daily safety meetings and complete required safety paperwork • Follow project specifications and install electrical systems accordingly • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity • Actively participate in toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Perform basic arithmetic with units, weight, and volume measurements • Maintain precision and adhere to established procedures and standards • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions • Lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 lb; climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required • Maintain visual and auditory acuity; coordinate eyes, hands, and feet during tasks

What You Bring

Candidates must have 3‑4 years of related experience or an equivalent education‑experience combination, with at least three years in an electrical helper role. NCCER certification is preferred. Applicants should possess a basic understanding of low‑ and high‑voltage electrical systems, be familiar with MIC health and safety programs, and be able to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals. The work is physically demanding, requiring up to 12‑hour shifts in varying weather and outdoor conditions. Employees must frequently lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 lb, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined or uneven spaces while wearing required personal protective equipment and complying with fall‑protection requirements. • Prioritize safety and demonstrate safe behavior on site • Apply basic knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and understand low‑ and high‑voltage systems • Perform installations neatly and workman‑like • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project‑specific regulations • Follow written and oral instructions with common sense • Operate in confined, cluttered, uneven, or elevated areas while wearing required PPE

This full‑time position typically involves a 50‑hour work week and may require up to 90 % travel to project sites.
