About the Role
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a diverse range of recreation and leisure activities that enhance guests' vacation experiences. This role requires daily program coordination for all age groups, organization of classes, special events, and continuous evaluation of program effectiveness, all while supporting guests with outstanding service and maintaining inventory within budget. • Coordinate daily recreational programs for all age groups based on guest needs, resort requirements, and seasonal opportunities. • Plan, organize, and instruct classes, activities, special events, holiday programs, competitions, mixers, and group activities. • Create and distribute promotional materials (flyers, handouts, postings) to attract participants. • Evaluate program effectiveness and participation, seeking new ideas for enhancement. • Monitor activities in common areas and the activity center. • Deliver outstanding guest/owner service, answer inquiries, provide information, and resolve issues. • Maintain recreation inventory and order supplies within budget. • Rent and sign out recreation equipment to guests and assist with programs.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED, basic math and cash‑handling abilities, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 lb. Strong guest‑relations skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work outdoors in all climates are essential, with preferred experience in hospitality, customer service, and basic Japanese language or CPR/First Aid. • High School Diploma or GED. • 6 months to 1 year related experience. • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lb (with reasonable accommodation). • Basic math and cash‑handling skills. • Proficiency in MS Office and basic desktop publishing. • Ability to work outdoors in all climates. • Excellent guest‑relations skills. • Knowledge of a wide variety of recreation activities and program development. • Ability to interact courteously with all age groups. • Strong English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency. • 1–3 years related experience (preferred). • Prior customer service and hospitality experience (preferred). • Basic Japanese language skills (preferred). • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
