About the Role
THIS IS MAINTENANCE NO PER DIEM. The Industrial Electrical Foreman supervises a crew responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures, including underground cable and conduit installation, terminations, and equipment setup. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints and specifications to determine material quantities, identifying necessary tools and safety measures, leading daily safe operations, and managing workloads, supplies, equipment, and reporting. The foreman will cut, bend, and install conduit and cable trays, pull cables through designated pathways, assemble and install electrical equipment, terminate wires to breakers, control panels, and distribution systems, and test components for continuity and correct voltage. Additional duties involve inspecting equipment for hazards, setting up temporary power and grounding systems, hoisting tools with rigging or crane, and maintaining accurate records of time, cost codes, equipment, and personnel. • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to plan work scope. • Identify required tools, materials, and safety precautions for each task. • Lead crew in safe daily operations and manage workloads, supplies, and equipment. • Cut, bend, and install conduit, cable trays, and underground cable as specified. • Assemble, install, and terminate electrical equipment, including breakers and control panels. • Test components for continuity and proper voltage, and inspect for hazards. • Set up and maintain temporary power and grounding systems. • Hoist equipment and tools using rigging or crane as needed. • Maintain accurate records of time, cost codes, equipment, and personnel. • Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures and safety regulations. • Supervise a crew of 5‑15 journeymen and helpers, providing guidance and reporting. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working at heights over 300 ft.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of experience as an Industrial Electrician and a minimum of two years in a supervisory role. Additional requirements include reliable transportation, the ability to work at heights over 300 ft, and the capacity to meet all physical demands of the job. The role requires proficiency with high‑ and low‑voltage systems, use of specialized tools such as ohm meters and multimeters, knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to all safety regulations and PPE requirements. Physical requirements include extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and working in all weather conditions while wearing prescribed protective gear. Preferred qualifications include current Zachry employment, a Journeyman Electrician license, NCCER Industrial Journeyman certification, and relevant formal technical education. The position reports to management and oversees a crew typically ranging from five to fifteen workers. • Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirator, hi‑vis vest, gloves, and steel‑toed boots. • Hold NCCER Electrician certification and TDLR license; Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
