About the Role

In this position you will build robust, scalable .NET applications using modern web frameworks, interpret business and technical requirements, and deliver intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. You will also design comprehensive test plans—both automated and manual—to ensure reliability and performance, and work closely with QA teams as needed. Maintaining high coding standards through peer reviews and secure‑coding guidelines is a key responsibility. • Build robust, scalable .NET web applications using modern frameworks. • Translate business and technical requirements into functional software components. • Create intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. • Develop and execute automated and manual test plans to ensure reliability. • Conduct peer code reviews and adhere to secure coding standards. • Collaborate with product managers, QA, and UX designers in Agile teams. • Identify, document, and resolve software defects efficiently. • Stay current with emerging .NET and web development technologies.

What You Bring

We are seeking innovative Software Engineers to join nVent’s Front End Applications team in Mumbai, where we develop inventive electrical solutions that protect and connect customers worldwide. The role focuses on creating software applications for both internal and external users, emphasizing front‑end programming and testing. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this distributed team. Collaboration is central: you will partner with product managers, QA engineers, and UX designers in Agile environments to deliver features on schedule, while efficiently identifying, documenting, and resolving software defects. Staying ahead of emerging technologies related to .NET and web development is expected, and familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Revit or AutoCAD is a plus. Industry experience with electrical systems is also beneficial. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or software engineering and possess at least three years of experience developing critical‑system applications for industrial customers. Required technical skills include proficiency with JSON, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and related technologies, alongside strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. • Leverage knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Revit or AutoCAD when applicable. • Possess at least three years of experience building critical industrial applications. • Proficient in JSON, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
