About the Role

The position follows a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM at WM’s material recycling facility and landfill in Lantana, FL, providing consistent hours that promote work‑life balance. As a Heavy Equipment Operator II you will work at a recycling facility serving over 20 million customers, operating bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders while adhering to strict safety procedures that protect all landfill site employees. • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures • Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, maintaining accurate records • Move and position raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment • Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles • Take accountability for adhering to safety guidelines

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least three years of heavy‑equipment operating experience, be 18 or older, be legally eligible to work in the United States, meet the physical demands of the role, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination. The work environment includes exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes, with occasional handling of objects under 30 pounds and occasional occupational risks such as cuts or burns; reasonable accommodations are available.
