About the Role

• Provide strategic financial analysis, reporting, and business support at product group and division levels • Offer insights on key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities • Conduct comparative analysis and monitor industry trends • Analyze financial data of key competitors and industry trends • Build strong relationships with business partners and understand profitability and cost drivers • Interact with stakeholders such as EVPs, Presidents, GMs, and commercial teams • Serve as point of contact for forecast and budget submissions for assigned product groups • Assist Investor Relations and other teams with quarterly earnings releases and conference calls • Support quarterly Board presentations, trade case data aggregation, and ad‑hoc information requests

What You Bring

The FP&A Analyst supports Nucor’s business units by performing forecast analytics, peer comparisons, planning support, performance reporting, and trend analysis. The role offers the opportunity to build analytical skills and contribute insights that support strategic decision‑making. This position works with business partners at all levels and across multiple groups, requiring strong communication skills, and many deliverables are prepared for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. The position is based in Charlotte, NC and requires occasional overnight travel. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field • Possess at least three years of finance, accounting, or analytical experience • Demonstrate advanced Excel modeling/charts and PowerPoint skills • Preferred: CPA, CFA, or MBA credential • Preferred: Strong presentation, analytical, and written communication abilities • Preferred: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and engage senior leadership • Preferred: Highly inquisitive, self‑driven, and adaptable in a fast‑changing environment • Preferred: Experience with enterprise system implementations (financial planning, consolidation, or reporting platforms)
