About the Role
Key responsibilities include supervising design input, reviewing and approving FSDDs, shop drawings, material submittals and test plans, coordinating installation of fiber optic networks, ducts, cabinets and telecom rooms, conducting site inspections, witnessing FAT/SAT/OTDR testing, managing punch lists, and maintaining documentation such as approvals, correspondence, change records and photographic evidence. • Supervise telecom design, installation, testing, and system integration on major infrastructure projects. • Review and approve FSDDs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans. • Coordinate installation of fiber optic networks, ducts, handholes, cabinets, telecom rooms, and power systems. • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contract documents and standards. • Witness and validate FAT, SAT, OTDR, power and performance testing. • Manage punch lists, support commissioning, and document final handover. • Maintain approvals, correspondence, change records, and photographic documentation. • Evaluate variation orders and change claims. • Provide technical coordination with civil, electrical, ITS, and other contractors. • Ensure compliance with local authority standards and international regulations.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Telecom Engineer to join complex, mission‑critical infrastructure construction supervision programs. The role supports the Resident Engineer in all administrative, technical, and operational aspects of telecommunications systems, ensuring end‑to‑end delivery from design verification through installation, testing, integration, and final handover. Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Computer Engineering or a related field, and at least 7 years of telecom engineering experience on infrastructure projects. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of fiber optic networks (OSP/ISP), DWDM, SDH, IP/MPLS, structured cabling, and active network equipment, as well as proficiency in fiber routing, splicing, OTDR analysis, and telecom power systems. Additional assets include familiarity with local authority standards, network architecture, cybersecurity fundamentals, CAD and network documentation tools, and certifications such as CCNA, CCIE, RCDD or CompTIA+.
