About the Role

The Specialist Technician serves as a subject‑matter expert responsible for commissioning, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing highly complex HVAC and chiller systems. The role provides advanced technical leadership, supports multi‑site operations, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivers high‑quality service aligned with customer requirements, service agreements, and defined processes. Technical Expertise & Service Delivery – The technician acts as the technical authority for assigned systems, delivering advanced diagnostics and resolution of high‑complexity issues. They lead commissioning, startup, inspection, and troubleshooting activities within defined timelines and quality standards, diagnose and repair malfunctions requiring deep product knowledge, and perform installations and commissioning in compliance with regulations and company procedures. They also interpret technical documentation such as electrical schematics, piping diagrams, psychrometric charts, and control logic, and proactively escalate unresolved issues. Customer & Project Engagement – Serving as the primary on‑site technical contact for complex installations, the specialist maintains proactive customer engagement to understand operational challenges and provide sound recommendations. They communicate clearly about work scope, system status, outstanding issues, and potential upgrades, identify opportunities for additional labor or system enhancements, and ensure accurate, timely documentation through service reports and status updates. Leadership, Training & Knowledge Sharing – The role provides technical coaching and on‑the‑job training to junior technicians, coordinates multi‑person complex jobs while ensuring safety and technical scope alignment, and shares emerging industry trends and best practices with customers and internal teams. The specialist also supports wider geographic operations, rotating across sites to implement standardization and best practices. • Lead commissioning, startup, inspection, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC and chiller systems. • Provide advanced diagnostics and resolve high‑complexity issues as technical authority. • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, piping diagrams, psychrometric charts, and control logic. • Serve as primary on‑site technical contact, maintaining proactive customer communication. • Identify and promote opportunities for upgrades, additional labor, or material change orders. • Coach and mentor junior technicians and coordinate multi‑person job teams. • Ensure compliance with safety policies, PPE requirements, and all regulatory standards. • Continuously enhance technical proficiency through training and field experience.

Continuous technical proficiency across the product portfolio is maintained through training and field experience. What we look for – Required technical qualification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related trade from a recognized institute; advanced system‑level knowledge of chillers and complex HVAC products; 10–12 years of proven hands‑on experience in chiller repair, advanced troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing; willingness to travel across multiple locations; and ability to operate with high technical specialization and autonomy. • Possess HVAC/Refrigeration qualification, 10‑12 years of hands‑on chiller experience, and willingness to travel across sites.
