Perform field testing, sampling, and data analysis of soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction sites.

About the Role
The technician will conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites, perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards, and handle data calculations and reduction. Daily communication with contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers is required, including reporting site conditions, attending meetings, and managing field equipment. • Conduct field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete. • Perform routine field and laboratory tests using industry‑standard methods and equipment. • Calculate and reduce data from sampling and test results; assist with drafting and administrative duties. • Communicate daily with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changing site conditions. • Attend project meetings and manage field equipment, reporting any broken or missing items. • Pursue professional development through internal/external training and certifications (e.g., ACI, ASNT, NICET).

What You Bring
Qualifications include at least one year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic certifications in concrete, soils, and radiation safety, OSHA 10 (if required), the ability to lift 85 lb, a valid driver’s license and insurance, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards. The hourly pay range is $18‑$21, based on location and qualifications. • Meet minimum qualifications: 1 year experience, high school diploma/GED, basic concrete, soils, radiation safety certifications, OSHA 10, ability to lift 85 lb, valid driver’s license and insurance, strong communication skills.
