About the Role
The leader will act as an expert seller and doer in H&H modeling and engineering design, overseeing, managing, and business‑developing large, complex local, state, and federal projects that may include dam safety, water quality modeling, and stormwater conveyance. Key responsibilities include leading major pursuits to win work, maintaining strong relationships with targeted senior clients, fostering a client‑focused culture, developing high‑performing teams, and driving engagement and retention across the Great Lakes area while collaborating with other AECOM offices and regional Water Business Line leadership. • Lead and support major pursuits to win new water‑resources work. • Maintain and deepen relationships with senior clients in Michigan and the Great Lakes region. • Promote a client‑focused culture and position AECOM as a market leader. • Build, mentor, and retain high‑performing multidisciplinary teams. • Drive business and staff development initiatives across the Great Lakes area. • Collaborate with West Region offices and regional Water Business Line leadership. • Serve as an expert seller/doer in H&H modeling, dam safety, and stormwater design. • Manage complex local, state, and federal water‑resources projects to successful delivery. • Model AECOM’s standards of excellence, strategic focus, and result‑orientation.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will demonstrate impactful communication with senior business and project leaders, model AECOM’s cultural standards, manage complex project delivery, build high‑performance teams, exhibit commercial acumen, and possess strong interpersonal and public‑presentation skills. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; preferred qualifications include deep knowledge of the Michigan market, a master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, Michigan PE or PG licensure (or ability to obtain within six months), at least two years of leadership experience, and expertise in technical software and modeling. • Communicate confidently, build external networks, and inspire team engagement. • Demonstrate commercial acumen and expand the client base. • Meet minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree, 10+ years experience; preferred: Michigan market knowledge, master’s degree, PE/PG licensure, leadership experience, technical software expertise.
