Vice President of Operations

About the Role

Why we need you: The Regional Vice President will manage, direct, and implement Operations strategies and objectives to ensure the successful achievement of operational efficiencies and profitability. Responsibilities include overseeing each region to deliver high‑quality customer service, achieve financial goals, and drive profitability through a highly trained and motivated staff. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Vice President leads the Operations Department across multiple regions, ensuring policy compliance, strategic initiative execution, and performance improvement throughout the organization. This role requires close collaboration with regional leaders, asset management, and external partners to sustain growth and operational excellence. • Ensure compliance with company policies and Operations Manual aligned with strategic goals • Supervise Regional Managers, Senior Regional Managers, Construction Management, and Administrative Assistant to meet or exceed budgets • Design and implement innovative programs to boost operational efficiency and profitability • Monitor and review financial reporting • Collaborate with Asset Management for due diligence, analysis, and transition during acquisitions and dispositions • Address escalated resident or prospective resident complaints appropriately • Stay current with Fair Housing laws and regulations for apartment leasing and management • Assist in recruiting quality candidates • Participate in community activities, networking groups, and professional organizations to stay informed on industry changes

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting (preferred) • Industry accreditations such as CAM, CAPS, CPM (preferred) • 10+ years managing multiple multi‑family portfolios • Strong budget preparation and management expertise • Ability to independently lead the Operations Department • Excellent public/employee relations, problem‑solving, analysis, and decision‑making skills • Strong oral and written communication with a participatory team‑leadership style • Effective time management, organization, analytical, and reasoning abilities • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and property management software • Willingness to travel as required
