About the Role

Responsibilities include translating real-world problems into accurate FEA models, performing calculations, interpreting results, and recommending optimal solutions while ensuring deliverables meet quality and customer acceptance limits. The position also supports the development of existing and new products, requires knowledge of global design standards, and benefits from experience with NX Nastran, SimCenter, and manufacturing processes such as casting, sheet‑metal, and machined parts.

What You Bring

The role requires 4–8 years of experience in structural mechanics applied to locomotive products, with strong proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and SpaceClaim for static, fatigue, weld, bolt, random vibration, harmonic, and thermomechanical analyses. Candidates should be familiar with EN standards for structural and weld assessments and possess good communication skills for interacting with customers and third parties. • 4–8 years of structural mechanics experience, preferably with locomotive products • Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and SpaceClaim for static, fatigue, weld, bolt, vibration, harmonic, and thermomechanical analysis • Ability to prepare and document FEA calculation results • Knowledge of EN standards for structural and weld assessment • Experience with NX Nastran or SimCenter (preferred) • Familiarity with manufacturing processes: castings, sheet metal, machined parts (nice to have) • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and independent work capabilities • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to meet schedule, cost, and quality requirements • Team player mindset
