About the Role
The Vacuum Bell Operator is responsible for operating multiple vacuum chambers, handling the movement of units in and out, making electrical connections, and placing thermocouples. The role requires analyzing computer data for each bell cycle and determining necessary adjustments to ensure proper heating and vacuum processes. The operator determines run sequences and loads per bell based on unit specifications and chamber capabilities to maximize throughput. Tasks include moving transformers for drying, making electrical connections per engineering instructions, and assessing unit dryness using criteria and blip levels. Additional duties involve filling tanks to required levels, checking for leaks, unloading units, preparing them for final testing, and managing the final test queue. The operator also loads and unloads the pre‑heater and utilizes cranes, material‑handling equipment, and hand tools. • Analyze bell cycle data and adjust heating/vacuum processes as needed. • Determine run sequences and load per bell to optimize throughput. • Move transformers and make electrical connections for drying cycles. • Assess unit dryness based on criteria and blip levels. • Fill tanks, check for leaks, and unload units for final testing. • Load/unload pre‑heater and operate cranes, material‑handling equipment, and hand tools. • Maintain knowledge of shop specifications, drawings, and process sheets. • Climb a 15‑foot ladder for inspections.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, reside within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility (with an exemption for active‑duty military), and be able to climb a 15‑foot ladder. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and performing various movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching, with or without reasonable accommodations.
