About the Role
The role works primarily in quarry settings where moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, extreme temperatures, humidity and high noise levels are common. • Safely handle, load, and detonate explosives for quarry operations. • Inspect blast areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Calculate and prepare blast patterns to achieve optimal material fragmentation. • Operate and maintain blasting equipment and related tools. • Coordinate blasting schedules with team members. • Follow strict safety protocols and work safely at all times. • Read and interpret technical plans and measurements.

What You Bring

Benefits
Compensation is $26.70 per hour plus a $0.50 underground premium. Employees receive union‑provided medical, dental, vision and pension benefits, as well as paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. The company is an equal‑opportunity employer.
