About the Role
The Gas Skilled Laborer/Groundman supports the crew by assisting with gas line installation and repair, ensuring materials and equipment are ready, locating utilities, grading, and handling heavy pipelines as needed. The role also includes operating various construction equipment safely and performing any additional duties assigned. • Support crew with gas line installation and repair. • Gather, distribute, and ready materials at job sites. • Hand‑locate existing utilities. • Safely operate equipment such as backhoe, skid steer, directional drill, trencher, and asphalt paver. • Use equipment after operator digs gas main ditches. • Lift heavy natural gas pipelines for installation.

What You Bring
The position is field‑based and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and work in extreme weather. Workers must maintain clear vision and precise hand‑eye coordination. • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum). • At least 1 year of gas utility construction experience (minimum). • Preferred: 2 + years of gas utility construction experience.
