About the Role

The lineman performs both energized and de‑energized transmission work safely, including stringing overhead conductors, setting poles and anchors, troubleshooting system problems, and operating wire tensioning and rigging equipment. The role also involves maintaining company vehicles, tools, and personal protective equipment while working in diverse weather conditions and exposed environments. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized transmission systems safely. • String overhead conductors and set poles, anchors, and insulators. • Troubleshoot transmission system issues and conduct voltage checks on transformers. • Operate wire tensioners, rigging equipment, sideloaders, buckets, and derricks. • Climb poles/towers and work at heights or in confined spaces using proper PPE. • Follow grounding, phasing stick, flag/tag, and minimum approach distance procedures. • Conduct pre‑job or tailgate briefings and perform basic bucket rescue/escape. • Inspect and maintain company vehicles, tools, rubber goods, and personal protective equipment. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods in various locations.

What You Bring

The Transmission Class B Lineman is a semi‑skilled role responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing electrical transmission systems. The position works at various sites and may require travel to other states depending on customer demands. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of field experience, be proficient in English communication, and be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of hire (CDL preferred). They must be willing to travel long distances on short notice, lift over 50 lb, work overtime when needed, and handle high‑voltage transmission lines. • Maintain at least three years of field experience and effective English communication skills. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment (CDL preferred). • Physically capable of lifting over 50 lb and performing rigorous labor in inclement weather. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and customer orientation while adhering to safety rules.
