About the Role
The position involves conducting traffic operations and safety studies, supporting the planning and design of infrastructure like bridges, roads, railroads, and airports, and assisting with traffic engineering designs and field study reporting. • Perform traffic engineering analyses, safety studies, and material quantity calculations. • Develop traffic studies, designs, and cost estimates for bridges, roads, rail, and other infrastructure. • Conduct field traffic surveys and prepare detailed reports. • Support additional engineering tasks as required by project teams.

What You Bring
We are seeking an early‑career Traffic Engineer to join our New York City office in a hybrid role, supporting major projects such as the Reimagine I‑787 Project and performing occasional on‑site work throughout the region. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, have three or more years of traffic engineering or transportation planning experience, and be proficient with tools such as Synchro, HCS, and MicroStation, while demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills. • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. • Possess at least three years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning. • Proficient with traffic software (Synchro, HCS) and CAD tools (MicroStation). • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork abilities. • Preferred: Engineer-in-Training certification and experience with traffic simulation software.
