About the Role

The Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator oversees environmental and health program processes to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance performance, with a primary focus on environmental issues while also handling selected health and safety tasks. Key responsibilities include serving as the first point of contact for inquiries and incidents, coordinating the implementation of EHS programs, conducting facility inspections and compliance audits, investigating incidents with root‑cause analysis, and maintaining comprehensive data and documentation for reporting and continuity planning. • Act as the primary contact for environmental and health inquiries and incidents. • Provide guidance to team members on environmental and health matters and escalate when appropriate. • Coordinate implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs and related processes. • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across facilities and projects. • Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. • Manage EHS data, generate reports, and maintain documentation such as checklists and training materials. • Support construction and O&M teams with work instructions, checklists, and training resources. • Maintain business continuity and emergency response plans and procedures.

What You Bring

The role requires a strong background in environmental management systems, 1‑3 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of regulatory requirements, complemented by certifications such as Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management and a degree in a related field. Additional desirable credentials include professional designations like Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Certified Health & Safety Consultant, Physical Security Professional, Certified Protection Professional, or Certified Business Continuity Planner. • Possess 1‑3 years of EHS experience and understanding of regulatory requirements. • Hold certifications such as Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related degrees. • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. • Ability to travel frequently to multiple sites as required.
