About the Role

The Field Chemist II facilitates the Lab Pack Program, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), and other field activities by providing on‑site services such as characterization, packaging, handling, and transportation of wastes. The incumbent must maintain safety, meticulous attention to detail, profitability, and efficiency. The role provides lab‑packing services at customer sites while complying with regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities include sampling and characterizing hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, generating waste profiles, preparing price quotes, and delivering detailed inventory reports. The chemist transports waste to end‑user or transfer facilities, completes internal paperwork for accurate invoicing, assists with off‑loading, de‑packs and consolidates waste, and offers technical support. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental science and apply chemistry concepts, principles, and theories. They possess at least five years of progressively responsible experience with RCRA, DOT, TSCA, and related state regulations, and can identify trends, manage multiple projects, and work collaboratively in a team environment. Expertise in the USE software package for waste streams, strong business‑math and accounting knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical documents and present findings are also required. A minimum of three years of chemistry or related environmental experience is required. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a motor‑vehicle record that meets company policy standards.
