About the Role

The work environment is primarily outdoors, exposing employees to loud noise, fumes, vibration, and extreme weather conditions. Employees regularly stand, walk, use their hands, and climb structures while adhering to rigorous safety standards. • Perform safe construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems. • String overhead wire and set poles and anchors. • Install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary electrical systems and clear faulted circuits. • Replace fuses in transformers and check voltages using load‑busting tools. • Install and hook up single‑phase transformers and mechanical jumpers. • Conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings and execute reconductoring jobs. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and personal protective equipment in good condition.

What You Bring

The Class B Lineman – Overhead is a semi‑skilled position responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. Workers perform tasks at various locations and may be required to travel out of state to satisfy customer demands. • Work at heights, confined spaces, and in inclement weather while following grounding and PPE procedures. • Possess at least five years of recent field experience with overhead line work. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of hire (CDL preferred). • Demonstrate ability to lift over 50 lb, climb structures, travel long distances on short notice, and work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
