About the Role
The incumbent will manage 7‑8 key accounts, develop and execute account plans that drive growth, profitability and customer satisfaction, and coordinate sales activities with local BU teams and FES functions to maximise top‑line orders. Responsibilities include establishing executive relationships, resolving customer issues, monitoring claims, negotiating contracts, tracking market and competitor activity, and using the pursuit management system to maintain sales forecasts and recovery plans. The role also requires partnering with internal and external resources such as technical, advertising and marketing teams to deliver value‑added services, communicate the value proposition, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. • Sell Hitachi Energy products and solutions to named accounts in utilities, mining, transport, renewables, and power generation. • Develop and implement account strategies to achieve growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. • Manage 7–8 key accounts, create business and account plans, and set/track sales targets. • Coordinate with local BU and FES sales teams to maximise top‑line orders. • Establish executive relationships, resolve customer issues, and lead contract negotiations. • Monitor competitor activity and adjust response strategies accordingly. • Use the pursuit management system for sales planning, status reviews, and recovery actions. • Collaborate with technical, advertising, and marketing resources to deliver value‑added services. • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

What You Bring
Candidates need a tertiary degree in engineering or a commercial discipline, at least five years of sales or business‑development experience in the energy sector, strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of high‑voltage products and the Australian market. Additional attributes include excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proactive self‑starter attitude, proven success in the utility, transport or mining sectors, and fluency in English. • Hold a tertiary engineering or commercial degree with ≥5 years of sales/business‑development experience in the energy sector. • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, knowledge of HV energy products, and local market insight. • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. • Be a proactive, results‑oriented self‑starter with a proven track record in utility, transport or mining sectors.
