About the Role
The Electrical Test Engineer supports electrical testing operations in both low- and high-power laboratory facilities located in Beaver, PA. The position plays a critical role in product development, innovation, and certification within the Power Components Division. The engineer ensures safe, accurate testing while maintaining equipment and driving continuous-improvement initiatives. Day-to-day duties include conducting tests according to UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards, setting up and verifying complex test configurations, and coordinating lab schedules, technician assignments, and equipment calibrations. The engineer also organizes test samples and documentation, prepares detailed reports, and supports lab upgrades, repairs, and 5S activities. Managing multiple projects to meet critical deadlines is also expected. • Conduct electrical testing in compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards. • Set up, verify, and document complex test configurations. • Coordinate laboratory scheduling, technician tasks, and equipment calibrations. • Organize and maintain test samples, documentation, and detailed test reports. • Support lab upgrades, repairs, and implement 5S workplace organization. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet critical deadlines. • Utilize measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megger devices. • Operate power system components including circuit breakers, motors, transformers, panelboards, PLCs, HMIs, and solid-state devices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve problems. • Communicate findings clearly through reports and presentations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution and have at least three years of experience in an electrical test lab. Prior technical experience such as internships or co-ops, proficiency with power-system components (circuit breakers, motors, transformers, PLCs, HMIs, solid-state devices) and measurement tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, megger) are required. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to travel up to 10 % and follow safety protocols, are essential. • Travel up to 10 % for project or support needs. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Engineering Technology. • Possess a minimum of three years’ experience in an electrical test laboratory. • Demonstrated proficiency with computer-based test documentation and analysis.
