About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck and provides prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhere to all company, state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. Before and after each shift the driver performs a complete inspection of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls, reporting any issues on standard forms. While on route, the driver follows the route sheet and map, operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact and dispose of refuse at the designated facility, and tags unsatisfactory containers according to department procedures. The driver interacts courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure timely service, monitors waste for unacceptable material, cleans accidental spills, and keeps the truck clean by removing waste from the packer blade and body. All required route, productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports are completed to maintain productivity standards and safety policies, including participation in the ReSOP program.

Minimum requirements are a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license with an air‑brake endorsement.
