Assemble, test, and package underground switchgear components on a 1st shift.

About the Role
The assembler will perform sub‑assembly and final assembly of underground switchgear, handling a large number of parts, fitting and aligning components while using bills of materials and technical prints. The role requires following established procedures, setting up workstations, completing production paperwork, inspecting and adjusting parts, collaborating with other departments, assisting QA/Engineering on new product development, and performing other assigned duties. • Follow established working procedures • Set up workstation for independent or group assembly • Complete production paperwork and record labor • Inspect and adjust defective parts; report concerns to supervisor • Collaborate with other departments for advice and decisions • Assist QA/Engineering with new product problem solving

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of manufacturing, military or related experience, and must reside within 50 miles of the site (relocation not provided). Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. Preferred candidates have at least one year of manufacturing experience and training in soldering, brazing, electronic terminology and electrical circuits. Essential skills include flexibility to perform multiple functions, the ability to read blueprints and drawings, proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP, and the physical capacity to stand for an 8‑hour shift, walk, lift 48 lb, and push/pull 48 lb with or without reasonable accommodation. • Hi‑Pot and functional testing • High school diploma or GED required • Minimum 6 months manufacturing, military, or related experience • No immigration sponsorship or relocation assistance; candidates must live within 50 mi • At least 1 year manufacturing experience preferred • Trades training in soldering, brazing, electronic terminology and circuits preferred • Ability to read blueprints and drawings • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP • Able to stand/walk 8‑hour shift; lift and push/pull 48 lb (with/without accommodation)

The position offers an hourly rate of $21.40, with core hours from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm and the possibility of mandatory overtime.
