About the Role
The senior superintendent serves as the on‑site construction manager, overseeing the construction of distinctive architecture while ensuring safety, compliance with plans and local codes, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure work is performed safely, according to plans, specifications, and local building codes. • Solve constructability issues daily. • Conduct onsite quality control throughout the project lifecycle. • Partner with the project manager to develop and manage the schedule in MS Project and contribute to preconstruction estimates. • Maintain plans, specifications, as‑builts, and related documentation. • Manage subcontractors, including scheduling, performance evaluation, safety compliance, submittal review, shop drawings, and RFIs. • Supervise the entire field crew and optimize supplier relationships. • Perform daily walk‑throughs and maintain a comprehensive job log. • Represent Dowbuilt professionally with clients, architects, owners, project managers, subcontractors, field staff, and neighbors/HOA. • Coordinate material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement with foreman support. • Train and direct field crew, conducting performance evaluations. • Maintain job site security, ensuring safety of personnel, tools, and materials.

What You Bring
Success in this position requires at least 15 years of superintendent experience, including five years in high‑end custom residential work, strong technical knowledge, journeyman‑level carpentry skills, and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings. A degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience, excellent communication and mentoring abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project are also essential. • Minimum 15 years of superintendent experience, with 5 years in high‑end custom residential. • Experience collaborating with architects and designers on design details and constructability. • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent professional experience. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. • Journeyman‑level carpentry skills. • Strong communication, team‑building, and mentoring abilities. • Deep technical knowledge of traditional and new building materials and methods. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; Sage 300 CRE a plus. • U.S. work authorization. • Potential to work on Dowbuilt projects in other regions.
