About the Role

• Manage overall financial health of projects, including projections, cost codes, invoices, and monthly owner billings. • Oversee budgeting, trade partner and supplier selection, billings, contract management, and 3‑D coordination/commissioning processes. • Lead project closeout activities such as operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and training. • Supervise Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assigning tasks, fostering career development, and providing performance feedback. • Serve as primary contact with owners and on‑site representatives, resolving site concerns and building positive relationships. • Manage change orders, determining submission timing and obtaining customer/architect approvals. • Maintain schedule and budget through project completion, ensuring quality, risk, safety, and compliance management. • Build relationships with diverse team members and lead by example, offering coaching and feedback. • Interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively.

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a MEP Project Manager II to lead MEP‑dominant projects or scopes on medium to large projects. The role involves providing direction, ensuring project quality, timeliness, safety, mentoring the team, and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. • Bring at least seven years of construction management experience, preferably with a mechanical or electrical contractor. • Maintain a current driver’s license. • Demonstrate ability to handle development through closeout responsibilities for complex projects. • Be detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple project tasks. • Possess basic knowledge of construction law and standard business practices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management, and relevant web applications. • Exhibit a positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills. • Utilize active listening and effective communication, welcoming diverse input and feedback. • Be willing to travel up to 100% as needed. • Understand Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans.

Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $132,100‑$198,200, with higher ranges for certain locations.
