Custodian

About the Role

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor at C&W Services, performing a variety of custodial duties according to the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures. It aligns with C&W Services' commitment to maintaining clean and safe environments for tenants and visitors. Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, as well as vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas. The role also involves spot cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, dusting and cleaning furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trims, light fixtures, and high dusting when needed. Additional tasks cover washing interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors, spot‑cleaning interior walls, cleaning and restocking bathrooms with paper supplies, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, and monitoring fixtures for defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights. The Cleaner also collects building trash, replaces liners, and removes snow from steps and walkways as directed. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces. • Operate commercial floor buffers, shampoo machines, and vacuum rugs. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trims, and light fixtures. • Wash interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors; spot‑clean interior walls. • Clean and restock bathrooms, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, and monitor fixtures for defects. • Collect building trash, replace liners, and place waste in designated containers. • Remove snow from entrances, walkways, and sidewalks as directed. • Perform periodic high‑dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. • Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team. • Use cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack‑style portable vacuums. • Maintain attention to detail, high energy, and endurance while delivering excellent service.

What You Bring

No prior cleaning experience is required, but the candidate must be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. Benefits

Compensation for the role is $14.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off.
