About the Role
Key duties include reviewing contract drawings and specifications, ensuring contractor compliance, and maintaining daily records of labor and equipment. The Inspector will conduct site supervision, prepare daily reports on work orders and material deliveries, and implement quality‑control procedures. Additional tasks involve coordinating with the client’s project manager, monitoring QA/QC activities, assisting with correspondence, and overseeing start‑up, commissioning, and handover phases. • Inspect and supervise roads and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with contract specifications. • Review contract documents, drawings, and health & safety measures. • Ensure contractor adherence to standards and maintain daily resource records. • Conduct site supervision and inspections per Resident Engineer instructions. • Liaise daily with contractor to manage resources, safety, and equipment. • Prepare daily reports covering work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs. • Implement site quality control procedures and perform surveying checks. • Coordinate with client project manager during site inspections. • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and keep relevant records. • Assist Resident Engineer in correspondence and resolve site issues promptly. • Oversee start‑up, commissioning, and handover, tracking project milestones. • Record material test results and audit inspections for contract conformity.

What You Bring
AECOM is hiring an experienced Inspector for a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. The role combines inspection and supervision of construction activities to ensure they meet the project specifications, contract documents, and health‑and‑safety requirements. The Inspector will report to the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE). Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, with RTA approval preferred. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, including at least three years on similar infrastructure projects in the UAE. Experience with comparable roads and infrastructure works is essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering; RTA approval preferred. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in UAE infrastructure projects.
