About the Role
The Safety Manager leads SH&E specialists, represents the business unit SH&E director on worksites, advises project teams on the ESHARP management system, and develops site-specific work plans, compliance programs, training, and orientation plans. In this role you will audit projects, inspect worksites, manage incident reporting, conduct investigations, perform trend analyses, and represent Parsons during external regulatory inspections. • Lead SH&E specialists in executing work plans and risk management practices. • Advise project and program teams on compliance with Parsons’ ESHARP system and policies. • Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training, and orientation materials. • Evaluate subcontractors’ SH&E performance and ensure alignment with company risk practices. • Audit projects and worksites, produce written audit reports. • Inspect worksites for hazards, provide expertise to mitigate risks, and document findings. • Implement occupational injury and incident reporting processes. • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and deliver corrective action recommendations. • Perform trend analyses on audit, inspection, and incident data and report results. • Represent Parsons during external regulatory or loss‑control inspections. • Support risk assessments and provide SH&E expertise during work planning. • Deliver regulatory and best‑practice SH&E training and maintain training records. • Participate in routine safety briefings with craft, office, and subcontractor personnel.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a Safety Manager who will report to the SH&E director and provide expertise to project and program managers in implementing risk management practices and complying with regulatory and client SH&E requirements. The role demands a solid foundation in occupational safety and health, significant experience in the field, and demonstrated supervisory capabilities. Candidates should possess deep knowledge of safety regulations and standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess 10+ years of health and safety experience, including supervisory responsibilities. • Preferred certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). • Extensive knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and reporting procedures. • Advanced familiarity with ANSI, NFPA, and other national safety standards. • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. • Ability to lead and manage teams in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
