About the Role
• Manage relationships with client, subcontractors, project and design teams to efficiently develop and deliver designs on a project or bid. • Lead the design process in accordance with the Building Management System. • Apply and monitor compliance with CDM 2015 and the principle of prevention and safety in design. • Identify and mitigate design risk and realise opportunities throughout all stages of a bid or project. • Assist in selecting designers for a project and ensure competency checks are undertaken. • Develop and agree scope and responsibilities for consultants and invite fees for the project fee schedule. • Develop the design programme with the Planner and manage, monitor, and report on Information Release Schedules and design deliverable quality. • Manage statutory and third‑party processes such as Planning, Building Control, and BREEAM. • Undertake site inspections to ensure the as‑built product meets design criteria.

What You Bring
• Experienced in and knowledgeable about CDM 2015. • Aware of health and safety responsibilities and adheres to company policies. • Able to read and interpret design and construction programmes. • Understands buildability and will challenge designs that do not meet sequencing or construction methodology. • Analytical with advanced problem‑solving skills. • Able to develop ideas and present them concisely. • Excellent communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders. • Demonstrates commercial acumen and manages the design change process.
