Residential Helper I

About the Role

The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle and supports the Driver in delivering prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services on a designated residential route. Responsibilities include safely loading waste, carrying bags and containers to the truck, directing the driver while on the ground, and helping keep both the vehicle and work area clean. • Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route. • Operate the packing mechanism and related levers to lift and load waste. • Clean waste from the packer blade, truck body, hopper, and other components after each disposal trip. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service. • Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable materials and address issues. • Clean accidental waste spills following safety standards. • Maintain required productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
