About the Role
The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead a team of service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role supports the Operations Maintenance group by designing solutions for complex problems and overseeing projects, while also training and mentoring staff. Day‑to‑day duties include maintaining conveyor systems, performing preventative‑maintenance audits, troubleshooting control components such as relay logic, motor starters and sensors, and managing work orders with accurate labor and parts data. The technician also develops training plans for service staff and creates emergency work plans for critical assets. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Maintain and troubleshoot building conveyor systems. • Conduct and audit preventative‑maintenance procedures. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, motor starters, sensors, and other control components. • Create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data. • Develop training plans and mentor service technicians. • Draft emergency work plans for critical asset repairs. • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promote a safe work environment. • Perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and fine motor tasks. • Work in confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and on concrete surfaces. • Operate at heights and maneuver bulky equipment parts.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high‑school diploma or equivalent, three or more years of preventative‑maintenance experience, and at least three years reading blueprints and schematics, plus work‑order management experience. Preferred credentials include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five years with automated conveyors, apprenticeship experience, and prior leadership or vendor‑management roles. The position demands physical stamina: lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for shifts up to 12 hours, and working in environments that may involve dust, noise, temperature extremes, and confined spaces. Employees must be able to move equipment weighing 100 lb, work at heights, and navigate wet or uneven surfaces. • High school diploma or equivalent. • 3+ years preventative‑maintenance experience. • 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics. • 2+ years work‑order management. • Associate degree or higher in mechanical/electrical field (preferred). • 5+ years experience with automated conveyors and controls (preferred). • 2+ years knowledge of electrical/electronic principles (preferred). • Apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience (preferred). • Prior leadership and vendor‑management experience (preferred). • Experience with robotic maintenance and Material Handling Equipment safety standards (preferred). • Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (preferred). • Ability to lift up to 49 lb, push/pull equipment up to 100 lb, and stand/walk for 10+‑hour shifts. • Travel up to 20 % minimum.
