About the Role
In this position you will commission building automation systems, perform diagnostics on controllers and field devices, and keep stakeholders informed of progress. You will troubleshoot HVAC issues, handle warranty calls, calibrate equipment, and maintain required documentation while adhering to safety standards. • Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. • Loads system‑level controller software and conducts complex diagnostics on sensors, actuators, and other end devices. • Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems; responds to warranty calls. • Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment and completes all required commissioning documentation. • Maintains administrative tasks such as time sheets, expense reports, and as‑built documentation. • Ensures adherence to safety standards and participates in required safety training.

What You Bring
The role requires relevant technical education or several years of experience in HVAC systems, along with knowledge of control and facility‑management technologies and strong communication and leadership abilities. • Requires a 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or a related field, or 3‑5 years of HVAC industry experience. • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation. • Proficient in PC use and able to program HVAC‑related software. • Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally and explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Leadership ability to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical building automation equipment.
