About the Role

• Design wet utility systems, including potable water networks, sewer systems, and stormwater drainage systems. • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software. • Develop hydraulic models to analyze and optimize system performance. • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project requirements. • Perform calculations for pipe sizing, flow rates, pressure losses, and system capacities. • Evaluate environmental and topographical data to ensure proper system integration. • Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ). • Ensure designs comply with local regulations, codes, and standards. • Maintain accurate records of design changes and project documentation. • Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet utility systems into broader infrastructure projects. • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution. • Identify and resolve design challenges or site-specific issues during design and construction phases. • Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs. • Ensure designs meet environmental sustainability goals and adhere to water conservation principles. • Stay updated on advancements in wet utility technologies and industry best practices.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a talented Design Engineer – Hydraulics in Abu Dhabi to join our team on prestigious projects. The role involves designing and planning wet utility systems, conducting technical analysis, documenting designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing construction support. We require a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering and at least five years of experience in wet utility design. Candidates must be proficient in CAD and hydraulic modeling tools, understand water distribution, sewerage, and stormwater management, and possess strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field. • Minimum five years of experience in wet utility design or infrastructure projects. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D). • Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., EPANET, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, or InfoWorks). • Strong understanding of water distribution, sewerage, and stormwater management systems. • Familiarity with GIS software for utility mapping (a plus). • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (optional advantage).
