About the Role
The manager will serve as Parsons’ point of contact with clients, employers, consultants, contractors and suppliers, handling negotiations with regulatory bodies and representing the firm in public forums. Key duties include preparing and monitoring the Construction Management Plan, health‑and‑safety procedures, and quality assurance programs, as well as supervising engineering teams to ensure design compliance. Financial responsibilities cover monitoring costs and schedules, addressing overruns or scope changes, preparing progress reports, and overseeing accurate invoicing and quarterly management summaries. The role also demands rigorous safety oversight, regular site inspections, operation of an on‑site materials testing laboratory, and proactive risk identification with mitigation plans. Collaboration is essential, requiring coordination with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to secure timely delivery of materials and maintain open communication with the client. The position concludes with overseeing project close‑out activities, such as final inspections, punch‑list resolution, and documentation handover, while continuously seeking process improvements. • Serve as Parsons’ liaison with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies. • Develop and oversee Construction Management, Health & Safety, and QA/QC plans. • Supervise engineering teams to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. • Monitor project costs and schedules, addressing overruns, scope changes, and change orders. • Prepare and deliver monthly construction progress and contract status reports. • Enforce safety procedures, conduct weekly site inspections, and manage an onsite testing lab. • Supervise preparation and accuracy of monthly invoices and quarterly management reports. • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for seamless communication. • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project specifications. • Maintain transparent communication with clients, addressing their needs and expectations. • Promote sustainable construction practices and ensure compliance with local building codes. • Lead project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch‑list resolution, and documentation handover. • Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

The role involves delivering high‑quality construction projects that meet client expectations while staying within budget and adhering to safety and quality standards from start to finish. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, bring over 20 years of construction management experience—including at least a decade in Abu Dhabi—and have led projects valued at AED 1 billion or more. • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. • Possess 20+ years of construction management experience, with at least 10 years in Abu Dhabi. • Delivered major building projects valued at AED 1 billion or more. • Willingness to relocate to construction site locations as required.
