Substation Project Engineer *
Design and manage high‑voltage substation projects, overseeing scopes, schedules, and team mentorship.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The role builds on foundational high‑voltage substation design experience and expands responsibilities to independent project execution, including mentorship of junior engineers. Engineers will handle both physical and protection‑control design aspects while collaborating across disciplines. • Prepare scopes, schedules, and budgets and ensure adherence. • Design physical substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, raceways, and auxiliary power systems. • Develop protection and control designs including panel layouts, schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring. • Perform calculations and generate studies/reports for grounding, lightning protection, and load analyses. • Write equipment specifications for procurement and factory acceptance testing. • Coordinate design activities with civil, structural, networks, and transmission line teams. • Communicate project status with managers, clients, and stakeholders. • Mentor and supervise less‑experienced EITs and designers as needed.
