About the Role

The Safety Inspector will lead safety compliance, audits and risk assessments while coordinating with senior HSE engineers and project teams to ensure safe execution of rail construction projects. • Conduct and participate in safety audits for contractors and subcontractors. • Perform risk assessments under guidance of the Senior HSE Engineer. • Review contract documents, safety procedures and inspection plans, advise the Project Manager of any deficiencies. • Verify adequacy of contractor safety personnel and report shortfalls to the Project Manager. • Ensure contractor safety training is maintained and site labourers follow safety procedures. • Monitor daily site activities, issue non‑compliance reports, and attend weekly and monthly meetings. • Coordinate implementation of HSE policy with contractors and senior HSE staff. • Review and assess contractor close‑out reports and conduct accident/incident investigations. • Maintain compliance with internal safety procedures, STEP requirements and local legal regulations. • Conduct regular safety inspections and keep accurate records. • Support the project team to meet contractual safety liabilities and responsibilities.

What You Bring

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification is preferred. • Possess significant experience on rail construction projects and managing HSE on large sites. • Consultancy experience is advantageous; experience on metro stations is a plus. • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to innovate workload management.
